On April 15, 2026, Kazakh-British Technical University officially commenced a new course dedicated to ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance), reflecting the increasing relevance of sustainable and responsible business practices in today’s global economy.
The course is designed to provide participants with a structured understanding of ESG principles and their practical application in modern organizations. As companies and investors place greater emphasis on sustainability, ethical governance, and social impact, ESG competencies are becoming essential across industries.
The curriculum is built around the three fundamental pillars of ESG. The environmental module examines sustainability challenges and climate-related risks, focusing on how businesses can reduce their environmental footprint. The social module addresses key issues such as labor standards, inclusion, and corporate responsibility toward society. The governance module explores transparency, ethical leadership, and anti-corruption measures as critical elements of effective corporate management.
Particular attention is given to the integration of ESG factors into strategic planning and investment decision-making processes. The course aims to equip participants with the ability to evaluate and apply ESG frameworks in real business contexts, contributing to long-term organizational resilience and value creation.
Situated in Almaty, KBTU continues to strengthen its position as one of Central Asia’s leading academic institutions, offering internationally recognized programs across key fields such as engineering, IT, business, and finance. Through initiatives like this ESG course, the university reinforces its commitment to aligning education with global trends and industry demands.
