September 29, 2022 – October 2, 2022 - The seventh World Petroleum Council (WPC) Youth Forum was held at the Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU) in Almaty.

KBTU acted as a platform for the Kazenergy international forum “ENERGY TRANSITION: DIALOGUE OF GENERATIONS,” which was held in Almaty on September 29 – October 2, 2022. The purpose of the forum is to qualitatively demonstrate the role of the new generation in consumption. low carbon, safe and secure energy future.
KBTU speakers were presented in several panel sessions: “Digital leadership - a new stage and opportunities”, “Corporations and startups: how to build relationships”, “Regional Kazakhstan session: Technical University: transition from science to industry”.
It becomes obvious that the future of energy is connected with completely new digital technologies, robotics, and artificial intelligence. Industry problems with digitalization of processes are also related to the human factor. The scientific community plays an important role in both attracting innovative ideas and attracting talent that will benefit the industry. The session discussed new investment opportunities, and questions were raised by speakers from KBTU and oil and gas companies about how digitalization and artificial intelligence improve functionality, productivity and overall quality and efficiency in the industry.
