KBTU DELEGATES ENGAGED IN KING’S CLIMATE & SUSTAINABILITY NETWORKING EVENT

Delegates of the Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU), namely representatives of the SDG Projects Department of the Academy of Corporate Education, recently attended the King’s Climate & Sustainability (KCS) networking event at King’s College London. The meeting brought together members of the King’s community engaged in climate and sustainability issues across various disciplines, ranging from teaching to research.
The event focused on the theme of “Education for Sustainability” (EfS) at King’s College London, with particular attention given to innovative approaches for integrating sustainability principles into the university’s academic programs. KBTU representatives had the opportunity to engage with recipients of the King’s Academy Awards and the first EfS Project Fund (2023–24), participating in meaningful discussions on the challenges and successes of interdisciplinary collaboration.
Notably, with the support of the SDG Projects Department, KBTU master’s students will take part in the international Data Dive program at King’s. This initiative, funded by the British side, will provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate their skills, while the best project team will advance to the final stage of the competition in 2025. The event not only showcased ongoing projects but also marked the launch of the 2024–25 funding round, creating new opportunities for cooperation and innovation in the field of Education for Sustainability. KBTU’s participation highlights the university’s commitment to integrating sustainable practices into education and contributing to the achievement of global goals.
