Press-release: Change Management Workshop

[Almaty, March 4, 2026] — The Department of SDG Projects of the Academy of Corporate Education at the Kazakhstan-British Technical University (ACE KBTU) announces the successful completion of the specialized workshop “Change Management,” aimed at introducing international transformation standards into business processes.

The workshop was delivered by Aizhan Zhantayeva — a certified Change Management expert and member of the Board of Directors of the Global Association of Change Management Professionals (ACMP). Earlier, in 2025, Aizhan Zhantayeva conducted an intensive course for Afghan women in TVET who studied at KBTU under the UNDP project.

The masterclass program was designed for leaders and managers seeking to effectively guide organizations through periods of transformation. The workshop covered key aspects of Change Management methodology, including: strategic planning (using tools to analyze the current state and design the future state), managing resistance (psychological and organizational techniques to overcome barriers during the implementation of innovations), and communications (building effective engagement with all stakeholders).

This workshop directly contributed to the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and was held under the Department of SDG Projects:

SDG 4 (Quality Education) — providing access to advanced international knowledge and professional certifications;
SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) — improving workforce qualifications and organizational effectiveness through effective change management;
SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) — strengthening cooperation with international institutions such as the Association of Change Management Professionals (ACMP).

All workshop participants received certificates from the Academy of Corporate Education of KBTU.

The Academy congratulates all participants on gaining advanced global expertise. Aizhan Zhantayeva highlighted the strong engagement of participants and their commitment to professional growth, confirming the growing relevance of change management in Kazakhstan’s modern corporate sector.
