The International Information Technology University (IITU) announces the opening of registration for the interuniversity environmental hackathon “EcoHack Almaty: Solutions for Urban Environmental Challenges,” which will take place on April 16–17, 2026, in Almaty.

The hackathon is aimed at developing innovative digital and technological solutions to address environmental problems in the city of Almaty using modern IT tools and approaches.

Eligibility

Participants:

1st, 2nd, and 3rd year undergraduate students of IT-related specialties from universities in Almaty;
participation is team-based;
each team must consist of 3 to 4 members;
each university may nominate only one team.
